At The Sox Factory, we’re always looking for ways to reduce our environmental footprint and give back to the environment. That’s why we’re excited to share that we’ve recently planted over 70 indigenous trees on our premises as part of our sustainability efforts and we are not stopping there. We believe that every little bit counts, and we’re committed to doing our part in protecting the planet.
Our commitment to sustainability also extends to the materials we use in our products, including our custom socks. Our Polylon36 material is a more sustainable and durable option compared to traditional cotton. This is because Polylon36 requires less water and pesticides to produce, making it a more eco-friendly choice.
Cotton, on the other hand, is known to be one of the most water-intensive crops to grow, and the use of pesticides in cotton farming can have negative impacts on the environment and human health. To give you an idea, 800 pairs of socks consumes almost 5000 liters of water during the production process. By using Polylon36 in our custom socks, we’re reducing our water and pesticide use, which helps to conserve precious resources and minimize harm to the environment.
Another way we’re reducing our environmental impact is by using water-based inks in our Direct to Garment printing process. Unlike traditional petroleum-based inks, water-based inks are non-toxic and biodegradable, reducing the risk of pollution and harm to the environment.
At our factory, we’re proud to take steps toward sustainability, and we hope to inspire others to do the same. Together, we can make a difference and protect our planet for generations to come.
